Melting

So, I haven't been writing much. On my part, let me assure you that this has not been an oversight at all. The events of the past three weeks have felt like years, adding to the fact that the past few months led to an accumulation of low-level traumas which stuck like sea creatures to the bottom of my ship. In my quest for shelter and gentle, safe-keeping, I unexpectedly stumbled upon something unfortunate. But these things happen. They do not have to happen at all, but they do. They happen...and when they happen, the Universe is reminding us that we always have a choice. It's never too late to start making good choices, but some of us prefer to be locked in the cycle of struggle. I personally can't hold anyone hostage for the choices that they make. In fact, sometimes the only way to love someone is to get out of the way.

I woke up in Boston this morning, to red and yellow leaves blanketing the ground outside of my window. Beyond the bedroom door were the sounds of my favorite rabbi-in-training from Jerusalem preparing to leave for his morning classes. The house was a mixture Spanish, Hebrew and English. I laughed when I heard someone else singing a Hebrew prayer in the shower. The past few nights have been a cozy overlap of Red Sox games, discussions of South American shaminism, dirty jokes in Hebrew, laughter, and an affirmation of a love affair that has seemed to travel with me across continents, deserts and, of course, the sea. I have sat around in sweat pants, drinking tea, laughing out loud and tending to my spirit in the company of someone very special. Funny how I had to come all of the way to Boston to hang out with a friend from Jerusalem in order to melt the stress of the Middle East away...

Sounds like fun. Again, we're sorry for all those bodies you leave behind you. Kindness & an open, seeing heart the one thing many people can not tolerate for long. Me, I suspect that you may be in the wrong end of the business. Cheers & Enjoy Beantown. When they're happy, they're Really Happy! 'VJ'

Haven't been posting much but have been reading it all.

Tough times, exhilerating times, some wonderful times. Life. At least you are living it!

I hope that you are ok and it sounds like you are really working on getting yourself healed while you are home.

Enjoy yourself and try not to take on too much.
